Caribbean Spiny Lobster (Panulirus argus)
Caribbean Spiny Lobster (Panulirus argus) is a coral reef associated crustacean found across the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico and Western Atlantic from Bermuda to Brazil.
Unlike the cold water lobster species such as Maine lobster, the Caribbean spiny lobster does not have claws and instead has two long antennas. Lobster is most commonly exported and served as just a tail.
Spiny Lobster is the most economically important coral reef related fishery in the Caribbean.
